Course narrative: This class reinforced and improved my knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and Hispanic cultures. We learned more about the subjunctive, preterit, conditional, and future forms. We were also required to give oral presentations which improved my speaking and presenting skills. One of the presentations a classmate and I did was if we needed to live in a Spanish speaking country, which you can see here. We learned about a city in Mexico that is entirely matriarchal. The women were in charge of finances, the businesses, and the household. It is one of the few matriarchies in the world. We also watched clips of telenovelas. This class fulfilled the MLO 1 requirement.
